I am fascinated with experiences and how to create them.

The journey began 30 years ago when I was looking for a tool to increase attendance and message retention at my museum employer.

I published my 8-step process as a book, Creating Great Visitor Experiences, which became the foundation for my consulting business: Experienceology.®  Clients initially read the book and began to seek out my help for places like museums and libraries, zoos, national parks, and the White House.

I attended my first TEDx talk in San Diego in 2010 and was hooked. TEDx was a convergence point for all my interests—from video production to rethinking complex topics into concise and compelling moments.

I volunteered for the next five TEDxSanDiego seasons as a speaker coach and program curator. Outside coaching requests began to pour in until my experience consulting business was mostly catering to speakers: over 300 to-date.

I also love my work as a writer, book coach, public speaker, and podcaster / TV presenter. I write and speak about what interests me: forgiveness and healing; family estrangement and reconciliation; reframing our personal stories; memories and food.

Check out my whole-foods recipes and my latest books The Migraine Relief Plan and The Migraine Relief Plan Cookbook. My fifth book Bitter, Sweet is a personal growth memoir scheduled for publication in 2026. I also coach authors to develop and publish their works.

I live in the San Diego area with my husband and our Golden retriever Daisy, who is part of the Golden Retriever Lifetime Health Study.
