Great post from Nonprofit Tech 2.0 featuring eight thank you videos from nonprofits. Some takeaways:
Make sure it’s clear in the first five seconds who the video is from/about.
Get to the point quickly.
Shorter is better. Use your best footage, then edit, edit, edit.
Personal testimonials are incredibly powerful tools.
Don’t ask for more money! Counter-intuitive, but far more powerful.
While I think this one is pretty powerful, the kids’ before and after pictures should have shown up right away, and the whole thing should have been 1:30.
How many museums are doing this? Anyone? I’ve never seen one… would love to see videos of kids during school programs, families having fun, community partnerships showcased.
